Junkanoo is the celebration of life.

Truth be told, during the great migration of TCI Belongers to the Bahamas in the late 50’s and early 60’s the tradition of masking migrated with them. The veil of shame, disgrace and the need to cover, hide or mask one’s identity from their taskmasters has long been abolished.

Mr. Bowen ought to realize that masking has evolved and so too should he. Mr. JAGS McCartney was an avid fan of Junkanoo and too recognized and embraces the openness, pride and grace that its participants displayed.

Junkanoo and 'Masking' are one in the same.
