Kim Mortimer photographed this incredible scene of a sunlit room in the back of a cave on East Caicos.This photo involved transporting all the equipment across the Caicos Islands and through the thick native bush to the entrance of the cave in the middle of uninhabited East Caicos. Then the gear was floated on a raft and swum up the canyon-like waterway to the end of the cave. The shot was actually taken in six feet of water using a remote control shutter release, and required the tripod, Nikon D200 camera and Kim to be precariously balanced on some underwater rocks.
