Miss TCI Takes on the Universe
As lovely and graceful Shanice Williams, Miss Universe Turks & Caicos 2014, prepared for the 63rd Annual Miss Universe® Pageant on January 25, 2015, she took time out for this photo shoot on Leeward Beach in Providenciales. Born and raised in the nation’s capital, Grand Turk, Shanice was crowned in late April, and has been on the go ever-since. As Shanice also won Miss Intellect, Best in Swimsuit, Best Evening Gown, Miss Congeniality, and Miss Photogenic in the annual TCI pageant, we have no doubt the vibrant 21 year-old will go far in representing the Turks & Caicos in Doral, Florida this winter. You go girl!
Shanice Williams, born and raised in the beautiful Turks & Caicos, has found a means of expressing herself through the art of pageantry. She is a beauty that is not distracted by what lies behind her but focuses on what lies ahead. She tries to see the reality in every situation and always puts her best foot forward. At the age of 21, she’s still in the midst of finding herself and learning more about how she can use the gifts and talents God has blessed her with. Always wearing a smile, she encourages everyone around her to reach and see their true potential. She is optimistic, she is a motivator and, most importantly, she is a great friend.

On the Cover
Tucked at the northeast corner of North Caicos is Greenwich Channel, formed at the northern tip of Bottle Creek by the convergence of Horsestable Beach and Bay Cay. By using a drone Master/Craftsman Photographer James Roy of Paradise Photography (www.myparadisephoto.com) was able to capture this dramatic abstract image. The shallow water and shifting sandbars and channels create surreal natural art in many hues of turquoise and green.
